Tri Counties Bank Community Scholarship Program! In partnership with the Community Foundation of the North State, Tri Counties Bank awards scholarships totaling $110,000 to students attending community colleges, trade schools or four-year colleges/universities.
Tri Counties Bank offers (2) types of community scholarships:
Income-based – Sixty (60) $1,500 scholarships are awarded to students with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $6,206 or less and a minimum GPA of 2.5. Merit-based – Twenty (20) $1,000 scholarships are offered to students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. - United Scholarships Inc. (USI Keffer Scholarship): The USI Keefer scholarship is for YHS Seniors only. USI has been awarding scholarships to YHS students since 1964. - Ford Family Scholarships: One of the BIG ones. Outstanding Scholarship opportunity. Most of the Ford Family Foundation Scholarship programs re need-based and require applicants to demonstrate financial need by filing the FAFSA. Must have an EFC of $6,000 or less. Recipients must enroll full time on campus in the fall of the application year. These scholarships are very competitive and very rewarding. - McConnell Foundation - The McConnell Scholars: The McConnell Foundation Scholars Program helps students seeking bachelor’s degrees at four-year colleges and universities. - The College of the Siskiyous Foundation
announces the application for scholarships for 2022-2023 academic year are now available for Siskiyou and Modoc County high school seniors (graduating June 2023) and current COS students who plan to attend COS during the 2023-2023 academic year. We also have one brand new, $5,000 scholarship that will be awarded to a currently enrolled (spring 2023) COS student who will be transferring to a four-year college or university in fall 2023.
Deadline to apply is March 15, 2023 at 4pm.

- Siskiyou County Cattlewomen Scholarship: Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded. One to a graduating senior who will be entering into an agriculture related program in college. - Siskiyou County Museum will be awarding $500 to a Siskiyou County High School Senior interested in history, and/or volunteerism. - The Shasta Head Start Scholarship (previously known as the Eva Johnson Memorial Scholarship) is a $1,000 scholarship made possible by the generosity of Cornerstone Bank. Each year it is awarded to a high school senior who is an alumnus of a Head Start Preschool Program for continuing education, i.e., community college, state college, university or vocational school. This year the scholarship is due on Friday, April 21st, 2023 at 5pm.
- Sierra-Cascade Logging Scholarship: $500-$3000 awards given to students who plan on continuing their education at a community college, state college or university, or trade school for the areas of agriculture, natural resources, industrial technology (welding, diesel mechanics, ) or a related field. - The Tyson Wacker Scholarship Foundation is a local non-profit organization established in the memory of Tyson Wacker, a 16-year-old West Valley High School Varsity football player killed in a car accident on October 22, 2018. The foundation seeks to provide Student Athletes the ability to succeed in both athletics and life. Our goal is to provide multiple scholarships to eligible graduating seniors year after year. Helping them live because Tyson Couldn’t. Applicants must be: Current Graduating Seniors from a high school in the following counties: Tehama, Shasta, Trinity, Siskiyou, Lassen. Carry a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Must have participated in ANY high school sport within the four years of attendance (this could be one season of any sport in which your high school offered) Applicants must include all requested information to be considered for scholarship award.
